I started work on this piece shortly after evacuation, as the Carr Fire swept mercilessly through forests and into the Redding city limits. Unsure as to whether I would have a home to return to, I attempted to make a work that would capture the mounting anxiety I felt as the flames devoured my hometown and the surrounding landscape in all directions.

In support of those still affected by the fire, 50% of the proceeds from sales of this print will go to the Shasta County Fire Relief Fund.

This piece is a three color, handprinted woodblock print with an edition size of 30. The image size is 6x12”, with a 0.75” border on all sides except for the signed bottom edge, which has a 1” border for a total paper size of 7.5x14”
