This piece was for a gallery show that originally had a “fast cars and robots” theme, and a fun exercise in colored line. The theme was scrapped, but I was too far along to not submit it. It is loosely inspired by Tamara de Lempicka’s “Self-Portrait in the Green Bugatti”
I confess that I do not care about cars, and a solid chunk of the planning phase involved thinking long and hard about how to draw as little of the car as possible.
